Choices will participate in the Netherlands Food Partnership Collective Impact Coalition on Ghanaian Urban Food Environments. On 25 February Prof. Amos Laar, School of Public Health, University of Ghana, and Herbert Smorenburg, Managing Director of Choices, presented a proposal to improve the enabling environment to enable urban consumers to make healthier dietary choices using nutrient profiling.
This plan forms the core of the action group on “Enabling Environment”. The other three action groups focus on “Urban Consumer”, “Trading and Purchasing Environment” and “Healthy Food Availability”, each representing a set of key aspects in the food environment. More details can be found here.
