Choices International actively seeks cooperation with other organisations, with governments and companies. Promoting healthier food and pushing back obesity and NCDs are ambitions that need to be addressed together. The use of positive labelling is spreading rapidly around the world. Many countries prefer a positive tone of voice to ‘nudge’ consumers towards healthier choices. An overview of positive and other labelling practices is given here.
In Europe, Choices works together with the other positive front-of-pack logo organisations: the Nordic Keyhole and the Heart Logo in Finland and Slovenia. Together these positive logo organisations have a strong position in Europe, with a presence in 12 countries and a high consumer credibility. In some countries consumer awareness of the labels mounts to 82% (Finland) or even 95% (Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands).
