Procedure for becoming a participant

Companies interested in joining the Choices Programme must be official participants in every country where they wish to use the stamp. After signing a national agreement contract, participants have their products evaluated by an independent clearance agency to determine whether they comply with the product criteria. This is essential to maintain the transparency and credibility of the initiative.

The exact procedure may differ slightly per country, but a company only needs to follow five easy steps to complete participation:

  1. Contact the national Choices foundation and ask for a standard information package.
  2. Apply for offical participation by filling in the national registration documents.
  3. Fill in the tool, made available at registration, for having the submitted products checked by the independent clearance agency.
  4. Put the Choices stamp on the package of all approved products.
  5. Introduce the products with the stamp onto the market.
